This is some years back the house
I lived in had a brick walk that
went up the fron from the street
around the side of the house to the
back with a large brick patio.The
gardens filled the front yard and side
from the house to the walk were gardens of
hostas the patio shades by two old and very
large oaks.Now down the hill from my house
lived this elderly couple who had the largest
butterfly bush(tree) I had ever seen.It spread
across the front lawn and was at least ten feet tall.
I noticed one day that there house was for sale .
I came home one day to find plants lining the walk
as I parked and walked up the walk I noticed the plants
continued around the house and to the patio,the patio
was completly covered with potted plant as well the walk.
I went inside upset that someone would just bring these
plants and do this,when I heard a noise outside I went
to see what was going on and I saw this elderly couple
pulling a red wagon with plants in it up the hill to my
driveway,I went out on the porch and asked them what they
were doing,she replied we are moving to be near our son
in California and we knew from your beautiful gardens that
you would take good care of these for us.Now what could I
say,it turned out that there were over two hundred plants
this couple in the eighties hualed up the hill in a red wagon.I became the care taker of there plants that they so
loved.
