| I used to live right across the street from the park and greenway. My old condo complex had a gate to the greenway. It's a nice park, used to be dog friendly as well(not sure anymore, been a few years). Bark in the Park used to be held there, that was a lot of fun!! |

| Is that the one on Monroe Rd with a walk thru from Sardis clear to 74? |
|
| Yes Dottie it is and where we had the plant swap. I was disturbed at the amount of TRASH in the streans and in the swamp, the beavers live there. The pond had some trash and scum I just don't understand the reasoning for the trash, Blueangel |

| Was it blown in trash or evidence of dumping? My son used to peddle his bike down there with friends. They'd fish, catch catfish and come home, clean them and grill them. It was cleaner then (wasn't everything?) but I'm sure Parks and Rec. is down near the bottom of Charlotte's budget items. Still, the Ranger ought to organize a trash pickup like they do for the creeks and rivers in the city. Maybe a good project for the Boy Scouts. I hate what beavers are doing to our streams. In order for our trees to recover from the drought we have to have free flowing streams. I missed this years swap mainly because I'm not planting anything but last years small but enthusiastic turnout was great. I knew it would be a good spot for a swap and easy to reach and find. |

| The trash did not seem to be that blown in I did pick up seven pop bottles paper ect, the was a tire and what looked like the remains of a chair.I belive it is being dumped there. They stock the catfish you are able to catch three per family. The beavers seem to be living in the swamp area and not so much in the streams, but I did see the start of a beaver made dam in the one stream beds.
