Our house had a hedge of photinia when we moved in, but we removed all but one they looked so bad. This year the one remaining is showing the blight. We've removed the worst branches (needed to let in some light anyway) and are waiting to see if the whole tree will get it. Fortunately other things have grown enough to offer privacy if we have to take it down. What's really bothering me is that my redbud seems to have the same thing. Round spots on most of the leaves. Does the photinia blight spread to other plants?

I don't know if there's anything in particular going on this season. Unfortunately, Photinia is notorious for leaf spot.
