I'm in Greer, SC and will be hosting a swap in September. Do you have any shady spots where you can keep the Hostas until then? Maybe you could create a temporary shady area in an out of the way place by draping a light colored sheet over some kind of frame. As for the Solomon's Seal, it will probably fair better in the long run in a shadier spot but wait until our drought situation is better or the temps are cooler to move it, unless it starts looking burnt. If you have to move it sooner, make sure it's on an overcast day.
Voodoo Sedum sounds like a neat plant but I do not have any. I have Sedum 'Angelina' and 'Blue Spruce', and will have both available for the swap.

Count me in for your plant swap, if you'll have me! Hard to say what might happen to the hostas between now and then.. seems I never have a problem with people in my neighborhood wanting to take extra plants off my hands. Every time I'm out there with a shovel someone stops to ask what I'm digging/dividing and if they can have a start of it... haha.. but I do have a lot of stuff that could probably use thinning and also I'm propagating a lot of things now too, so I should have a fair amount I could bring even after the neighbors get their "share". Hopefully I'll have some things you'd like to swap you for some sedum starts.
