Cryptomerias Help!!

I have 20 cryptomeria trees and about 8 of them have turned brown/red like they are burnt or dying. I'm water constantly and I'm not sure what is wrong but whatever it is, it's spreading!!! It's starts at the top of the tree and works it's way down. I read something about leaf blight and wonder if that could be it. Can anyone help or lend a suggestion?? I don't want to lose all my tress I just planted them in October. Thanks

Maybe you have watered too much? We had rain this spring, remember. I lost my first camellias in the drought of 2002 because I did not realize that they don't need/want much water.
