Isn't that always the way? The reverse is sometimes also true! I have been nurturung datura seedlings for months. Squirrels and chipmonks dig them up, rabbits prune them (actually the rabits prune everything) So far the rotten sprouts are only about 6" tall

One even bloomed and the whole plant fell over!

This is the ordinary single white. I let a dozen or so buds bloom thinking that would be it and then the rain came.
Now I have dozens of buds.
Just making sure I don't get any of these next year.
