I'm new to composting. I've been collecting coffee grounds from my office's break room to add to my pile. Should I be picking the filters out of this mess or can I be lazy and just dump it all in together in hopes that that the filter paper breaks down too? Thanks for your feedback!

Heh.. I just thought about how posting a list may be helpful and was coming back to post one. Looks like you beat me to the punch. Nice list too!

My experience is that I'm fishing those filters out years after trying to compost them. Must be a special weave to the paper that gives them the strength for hot coffee grounds and resists breakdown.
