Name that spider

Since GW doesn't have a 'name that bug' forum I thought I'd post him here.

This spider is sitting on a mexican sunflower in my friend's garden.

I think he's so cool looking...would love to know what kind of spider he is.

Anyone see one in their garden??

Thank you for the info. I figured it was a 'he' cause of those hairy legs...LOL
My friend took the pics. She's got a great camera, loves photography and it shows. She hopes he sticks around for a while. He seems to favor the mexican sunflowers.

That is so cool. We already have our first fall garden spider (argiope? I think). They always fascinate me.
