| What kind of caterpillar is whitish and has long spikey hairs that is on the brug? I have never seen this one before. |

| Don't know the name but I get them on the jerusalem artichokes and sunflowers. They don't eat much. |

| I usually get hornworms on mine, and the evidence is that leaves are eaten and piles of poop are everywhere. But they are green. Do you know what stinging cats look like? |

| there are only a couple kinds of stinging caterpillars in NC- hag/slug caterpillars, and the saddlebacks, are all i can think off of the top. Easy enough to do a google search, to see if there are more and what those look like. Hags sort of look like a fuzzy starfish, and saddlebacks are green and brown with a saddle on their back outlined in spines. I've seen both occasionally at my house. |

| Not sure how many different stingers we have in NC, but I have them every year and this year has been bad. Some of them are so small and hardly look dangerous. Just thought I would mention it as some folks are not aware of how nasty these things are. |
