Does anybody here use camping to go on garden trips?
Like visiting some garden and camping to save the cost of using hotel room?

RE: Camping and Gardens

I have in the past. Most of the time camping was an excuse to bring along the dog (back in the day when few hotels allowed pets). I remember one trip to the coast of Texas when I lived in Oklahoma and a small nursery had a sale on banana trees so I bought a bunch of them and kept them INSIDE my tent to keep the beach wind from tearing them up. Everyone laughed at the silhouettes created by the Coleman lantern in the dark.
