I will be in that area soon and I am seeking stores that stock a good variety of organic soil amendments-- looking especially for corn gluten meal and other supplies. Thanks.

I used to buy my CGM from Family Home and Garden. The price was good and they general had it in. But I quit working in the area and now it is a little far for me to drive from N. Raleigh. Locally, Homewood Garden center has CGM and a few organic fish emulsions. Another place to check out is Logan's.

Fifth Season on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh (take Hillsborough going towards Cary, when you see the Hardees on the left side of the road turn into the little shopping center right before it. Store is on the corner nearest Hillsborough).

Fifth Season also has a store in Carrboro/Chapel Hill if that's closer where you are visiting. I'd call ahead about what you need, as they also have a local supply warehouse, and might be able to get what you need to either local store if it is not in stock.

Not sure about direct links to a biz here, but you can Google for Fifth Season Gardening. Organic is their mission, and they're a good company.
