Moving beautyberries..several

Question is..they are all heavily berried now (naturally all still in their pots rooted into the ground..y'all know how I plant temporarily,LOL)

I'm going to rootprune these and other plants next week but

should I prune hard beforehand?

Seems the right thing to do if I'm reducing their roots I should reduce the foliage.

But, before all that I must dig the holes here at the new yard and the reason all these plants are still in their pots is my indecision where to plant them in the first place.

Sound a little Catch-22?

I could leave them at the house I'm putting up for sale and start fresh next spring . Then, I'd only have to dig up a few peonies and the ginkgo , pot them up and deal with them in the spring.

Advice anybody?
