I drape mine with frost cloth (Remay) and hope for the best. Usually nothing happens but sometimes I get some mushy frozen spots on the tips of the broccoli. Most of the brassicas can handle freezing temps so it rarely kills the plant but it can damage the crop. I've never seen it damage brussel sprouts.

Agreed. My kale did just fine last year till it hit that 0 degree night. Carrots the cold might burn the tops but any in ground carrots should be good all winter. Burr... For this week and I'm hearing about a third cold spell hitting next week as well.
