Cameron, this is so timely. I have a friend (now 88 years old, which he finally admitted to after declining to divulge for years), also a WWII, decorated fighter pilot.

His history and experiences are rich and until recently, he was reluctant to voice any of it. But now he's realizing that as one of the waning last of the WWII vets, if he doesn't speak up, it will all be lost. I'm very proud of and grateful to him - his speaking out will be of such value.

My friend is not internet savvy, so I'm printing out info for him and he's finally speaking out. We simply cannot afford to lose this history.

I'm glad to hear another Veteran is encouraged to speak up. I believe it is very difficult for some, but we don't want to lose these stories.
