Love this! This past year I have done nothing, due to broken elbow, surgery, and still undergoing physical therapy. I realized I could no longer maintain much on my property. Now we are really going natural! Still, I hope to live out my years here and do what I can. Advice from a friend: "Lower your expectations." Now I am free to enjoy whatever the results are of my labor, or even of my non-labor. Happy New Year to all.

My resolution is not to buy any plants/seeds all year. Use what I have, enjoy what I already am growing. No postage for GW exchanges included, My husband laughed hysterically when I told him this! Ja. Right! I'll just have to up my game at the plant exchanges! HA

Let the withdrawals began!

I have a long list of resolutions this year and I've just added watching Lorabell to see if she makes it through the next 12 months. I have to say that my winter has gone much smoother because I tossed out a ton of plants rather than fuss with them. I do plan to shop and swap, but in the future I probably won't try to keep everything after the nights get cold in the fall. Keep the best, toss the rest.

Oh, and I have got to finish the chicken house. I cannot go another year without fowl in the yard. My poor pair of parakeets are tired of the pressure I put on them as the only birds in my care.

I resolve to get rid of some of my tropical plants, that I can't bring inside anymore in the winter.
It's really getting ridiculous.
I can't walk in my bedroom anymore, so some of the plants have to go.
If it's not a houseplant, and it can't live over the winter, it's being thrown out.
And I'm not replacing them either.
I resolve.

Butterfly, can't you hang on to them long enough to bring to a swap in Spring? Somebody is bound to give them a new home.

I would. But there are never any swaps anywhere near where I live, unfortunately.
