Carolina Gardening

Myrtle Beach SC area anyone?

I forsee a move to the area within 5 years. It would be nice to find a small house on maybe an acre of land with a flower garden already on it. My DH and I are lookg around Pawleys Island with no luck. Conway would be OK. Are there any members here who live in that area and are gardeners? Also lookg for a garden club out that way to join up with. And are there any swaps out there? I will need a garden mentor to help advise me on what grows and what doesnt, compared to the Piedmont.

I live about an hour away, in Kure Beach, NC (just south of Wilmington).
I know there are members here from that area and there are gardening groups. What they are though, I don't know.
Hope someone responds. If they don't, I would contact some of the nurseries in that area. They would know of groups.
