Master Gardener Program

Hi All,
I will be moving to NC towards the end of Dec 2014. I am very much interested in getting trained as a Master Gardener. Could anyone walk me through the process? I will be moving to Wake county. I would like to enroll in the program in January 2015. Thanks in advance.

I am a Master Gardener in Lee County. You need to contact the Wake County NC Cooperative Extension Service (part of NC STATE). They will tell you when the next class will start. April 15 is the application deadline.
However, I hope you can get in. It can be quite competitive to get into classes in counties where there is a big demand. In Lee County we had people in my class from outside the county for that reason. When you apply, I believe they will ask you about how avid a gardener you are, what publications you read, your experience etc. Good luck. http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/823-years.html is the link for the application process.
