during the summer i had toilet paper rolls wrapped around some of my tree trunks. i had removed most of them in the fall but forgot about the Meyer lemon. around Christmas time we got a very strong cold front with gusting winds, i looked outside and saw the Meyer really bend over. so i went out and brought it in under the porch and took a look at it and noticed the tap root had rotted, most likely from the rain soaked toilet paper roll.

it had to lateral roots as seen in the pic. pics taken earlier this afternoon before i went to work.
