Almost all citrus are parthenocarpic - having the ability to produce fruit without pollination. Clementines are parthenocarpic, and also happen to be self-sterile (their own pollen cannot pollinate their own flowers), so keeping them from being cross pollinated with other citrus will provide you with seedless fruit, something you would want :-) So, don't worry about pollinating to get fruit. Cross-pollination may produce more and larger fruit, but they will have seeds. Don't worry, you'll have plenty as clementines tend to set pretty large crops. This is one of my favorite mandarins, the fruit is really sweet, the tree stays small and compact, and has a lovely form. Wonderful mandarin.

You can spray the tree with gibberellic acid to get it to set fruit. You may be able to buy it at a nursery, but I don't know if they would have it in NJ. It can be ordered online.

Depending on how old your tree was when you purchased it, it may not set fruit for a few more years.

How many year old the citrus need to be in order to produce.
I checked the history of my trees some were grafted 4 years ago and one was grafted 3 years ago. This from the labels the nursery left on the trees. I have one 7 foot tall and one 6 foot tall the others are as little as 3-4 feet. I fertilize weekly with foliage pro one tablespoon per gallon of water.
