I have orange , lime and tangelos I fertilize every week with foliage pro one tea spoon to gallon of water. I think Citrus likes little fertilizer which keeps coming constantly.

I'd say since you are in zone 7b and it already has some slo release fertilizer on it already, i'd holf off on fertilzing until spring, unless the plant is indoor (warm and active) and getting maximum light.

Fertilizer won't help a plant that is slow to no growth mode.

Whether you fertilize in the winter is dependent on a few factors.

A few would be the mix you are using, the temps they are exposed to, how active they are and what you are using.

Those with a soilless mix that is very porous such as what I use can fertilize all year long, even up here in New England at very weak doses upping the dose as the spring and summer come by.

Those that use mixes which hold water far too long, fine particles that clog the mix up, or mixes that absorb the salt deposits from fertilizer must be very careful with fertilizing. I would still fertilize at a very weak dosage but flush my soils out in this case at least once a month.

I use 1/4 of the dose.

There should always be an available amount of food at the ready for your citrus since they do not go dormant.

Too much fertilizer will cause spindly growth and growth susceptible to pests unless using high light.
