About 10 months give or take a month. Most citrus ripen in January, again, give or take a month. However, some are "late", and others, "early". So, in general, that's the answer. For specific cultivars, you should consult the UC Riverside Citrus Variety Collection for more pinpointed ripening times of various cultivars. Tango would be considered "late", February to April, and it holds very well on the tree. For citrus, I prefer to use this resource for cultivar information. The rest, as far as how to grow citrus, can be found in your Sunset Western Garden Book, which for us here in S. Calif, is our "bible" of gardening.
