Any news on Fl ban ending?

Has anyone heard whether or not Florida's Citrus ban will end in the near future?
All but a couple of my citrus were purchased in Fl..from Briteleaf and Harris Citrus. I would like to add a few more trees...Getting antsy, lol.
This ban has been going on, what 5-6 years?

I'd appreciate an update..thanks much, Toni

Toni, I don't know the answer to your question, but I will tell you that I've been seeing a lot more publicity about Citrus Greening disease of late. Heck, it's even been on our local news! I doubt that we'll see the ban relaxed any time soon.

Have you looked into nurseries in the other citrus states?

We can't get citrus shipped into Arizona, but luckily one local nursery carries a huge selection.

I got a pink variegated Eureka last week.

Have you checked local ?

hopeful, I haven't heard of anything lately.
Meanwhile, you might wanna take up grafting. If you can get good rootstock, Logees has quite a few NICE varieties of citrus (I believe thiers are rooted cuttings but you can take a piece to graft onto the rootstock).
Some of them, I haven't even seen around here in FL yet soooo.. I just watched a really good grafting video this morning. This guy at Fairchild Botanical Garden makes it look so easy lol. I have done a few grafts before and had some success. Here's a link to the video.

Here is a link that might be useful: cleft graft
