My Four New Citrus

We picked up two Moro Blood Red Oranges and two Midnight Valencia Blood Oranges in 5 gallon pots. The Moro's have some blossoms. The Valencias do not. Not sure if they have blossomed yet, or if they are too young.

We will be planting one tree at the end of the space you see, and 3 along the wrought iron fence you see. The yellow color you see on the trees is their quarantine sign.

The tags say the were from Durling Nursery, so I googled that, and found this really nice video from Martha Stewart which I have linked below. I purchased these from a big company who sells to the trade and is here in Riverside County, CA., but Durling is in San Diego County, CA.

I feel like I purchased 4 really good quality trees. Enjoy the Martha Stewart field trip!

OMG Suzi what a beautiful backyard you have . What a view and no houses behind you wow . Your plants look fantastic. I see a nice hammock in those nice trees you have in the back. Happy planting.

Goodness, if I lived there and had land like that to work with, I would do exactly what you are doing..

Please show us when your done..I would love to see how your landscape comes out since I did landscaping for years..I see great potential there

Yes, the view is incredible! This is just the front yard. Between the citrus will grow patented roses. They will all get full sun East to West. On the other side of the fence topping the frontage slope to the road will be agapanthus... the dwarf kind with the blue flowers.

You will be disappointed, Mike, when you see what is going in that open space. A putting green. Fake! BUT, it will be green and will provide a lot of practice for me and hubby! We are in drought conditions here, so all the water that would have gone to the lawn will be directed to the citrus and the roses. Good, right?

I am really looking forward to the blood orange experience!
