You should go back to the tree, if you can find it. Locate the branch, if you can find it. Graft on to a rootstock - and you might have a new variety even better than a Meyer's Lemon!!!

Coulda, woulda, shoulda... I accept that, and again offer my mea culpas. I don't accept that there is a better variety than Meyer. One day, of course; but that day is not today. Do you know that in recent trials by Central America's biggest ice cream maker they got 68% juice by weight from our Meyers. Not even the best Valencia orange can match that.

You might not be interested in that "sport", but others might be and if you don't want to work with it, maybe you could let someone else do the graft. How exciting it is that this has happened to your tree. Mark the branch so you'll know which one it is in case you decide to allow someone else to study this "sport."

I've heard that Meyers make delicious lemonade and I've used them in seafood dishes and loved the lemon flavor of it better than regular lemons. I have a young Improved Meyer tree.
