New Meyer Lemon Tree

Hello,

I just got this Meyer Lemon from Logees. Upon recieving it, it looked a little ruff from shipping. After a day or two, it perked right up and looked nice. I moved it from its original 4" pot to a 6". My question is.... I have seen some of these look like trees and some look like they are a bush. How and when should I prune this tree? I plan to keep it inside most of the time, and would like it to look nice. Right now, it looks nice and healthy but kind of looks more like a vine...

Rooted cuttings of Meyer Lemon which Im pretty sure this and all from Logees are, will sucker from the base making it a bush form. To stop that you would need to stay on top of cutting the suckers or get one that is grafted. Pruning a tree for shape is completely up to the owner. Personally I would let this one grow however it wants for a few years. After that I would start to shape it how I want it to look. Cutting the main leader will encourage branching if you want.
