First, it is a seedling that can take 7-10 years to fruit; if it is in good condition, just be patient.

Second, forget the fertilizer spikes and give it a good dose of citrus fertilizer about 3 times per year. Apply it at the dripline of the tree and water in well. That's about all you can do.

Spikes just don't seem to work very well for citrus; I suppose if you put enough of them; but a good citrus granular fert. applied at the dripline of the tree is best. I don't have any experience with Jobe's; but what you need for most citrus is an NPK ratio of 5-1-3 with Mg, Ca, Fe, and Zn. For a Meyer lemon, which is a heavy feeder, we use a ratio of 3-1-2 with the same minerals. Look for that ratio or something pretty close and apply according to label instructions. If you want to go organic, Espoma Citrus Tone is a very good product, if a bit pricey.
