Dwarf or standard in containers?

Hi All

Obviously dwarf citrus varieties seem to be increasingly popular for containers.

I have however read in various places (including this forum) that if you are growing your citrus in a container then the dwarf aspect is not as relevant.

Basically that both dwarfs and standard citrus remain small when grown in a container so the dwarfing effect is far more relevant when planting in ground.

I have some dwarf in containers but am looking to get a couple more and wondered whether I need to search around for a dwarf of the desired variety or if I can just go with a standard tree and plant in a container.

Very interested in the views of this forum on non-dwarf citrus grown in containers.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Macca
