Thanks, Patty. Yah,I figured....but I guess a kumquat is a kumquat is a kumquat, so growing conditions should be similar regardless of variety.

Yes, you'll have to wait. Those leaves could be just about any citrus. Yes, growing conditions are similar for all of them. I have a Nagami and really like the fruit.

Meiwa is a sweeter, but only because it has thicker skin. Otherwise, for me at least, I agree. A kumquat is a kumquat is a kumquat :-) They're pretty, I use them ornamentally, but I don't particularly like them to eat.

My Nagami has much longer, thinner leaves. I don't think its that.
