Meyer lemon espalier location

I had a planting plan made for my large patio (see pictures). I had given a list of desirable plants which included a dwarf lemon. The landscape design plan calls for a cit Lemon Meyer improved 7dw esp, and places it under small eaves facing east. The area only gets a couple hours of sun in the morning, although it gets plenty of heat. I'm sure the professional knows what he's doing, but I want to be sure it will do well. Other walls/fence of the patio will include mostly tropical plants plus a Japanese Maple, and a Little Gem Maple. I would appreciate your comments and ideas.

I am not a Meyer specialist as others on this forum. But I do have four in various sun / part shade locations. I think they need 4-6 hours of sun to perform well.

The current location's protection from late afternoon sun is good. Under eave is good if you have to deal with freezes.... but i don't see that as an issue for you in 10a.

I'd consider making "ML" the location for a non-dwarf I. Meyer Lemon. Good luck!

I think your Meyer will do fine there; but it won't produce as many lemons as it would with more sun. As for the dwarf -vs- standard rootstock, the "dwarf" (almost all are in fact semi-dwarfing) should reach a height of about 10 feet, which would seem to fit your scheme.
