Maybe I need to do more mycorrhizae research but can they live when it freezes?

It is highly probable that it will survive. We use it up here and it exist naturally in undisturbed earth. Our ground freezes to as much as 30 inches deep. The reason not to use it would be that in potted culture we are growing close to hydroponically. The medium in the pot serves to spread the roots and hold water for a while between watering.

mycorrhizae funguy is a stationary organism and therefore will not be cut up like crawling insects would. I do not think adding mycorrhizae will help any, but it certainly wont hurt. Since you have plenty you will lose anything. So go ahead and try it.

As for the diatomaceous earth, If you are using it for insect control, it is rendered useless when it get wet ln the first watering.
