Hello everyone, for some reason or another i bought a 6' key lime tree and am having trouble choosing the right soil. I bought a decent sized clay container with holes in the bottom. Now this is my very first tree/plant ever. So i have no idea what im doing. So i bought some miracle grow himidity controlled soil. The next day i read online that that is a very bad idea because it will hold too much moisture/water and the tree will be over watered and rot. So i grabbed a handful of dirt and squeezed it and water dripped out like crazy so i immediately went out and bought a mix i found online. I used 2 bags of miracle grow citrus plant soil, a small bag of fine fir tree chips, and a miracle grow bag of perlite. I used both bags of soil and about 6 cups worth of those tree bark chips and a whole bunch of that perlite, maybe 6 cups worth of that too. So i want to kno if my little experiment will be succesfull or did i just waste 120$ on tree & dirt? Lol i have no idea wat im doing.
