To stake or not?

Hello,

I just moved my new citrus tree up to a 4 gallon pot to get it ready for its first summer outside. In the old pot I did have it staked using zip ties but I read that could cause damage, especially once it starts growing.

The attached picture is my Velencia Orange Tree, do I even need to stake it? If I do what would be the best way?

I originally staked it to keep the one branch from growing sideways but even after 5 months of being staked, when i unstaked it to repot it the branch fell right back into the form it was in when I got it so that's why I'm asking if I need to stake it to train the branches at all or if that branch will just naturally grow up and be fine

I'm new at Citrus so I'm still learning ;) thanks for the help!
