Oh my. Your trees are starving, fruitluvr13. I know there is some philosophy (U of AZ) about not fertilizing young trees for the first year or two, but I have not found this to be supportive of getting a young tree a good start. At least, not for me. Be sure you fertilize very well, check the instructions and follow the directions to make sure you're applying enough fertilizer. If you have a Meyer lemon, double the amount. Be sure they are also getting enough water as well. I recommend setting up micro-drips that spray away from the trunk, and soak out to and just beyond the drip line. You need to fertilize your starving trees at least 4 times this year, preferrably 5 to get caught up, then 4 times a year starting in February, and last feeding in November. Citrus are high nitrogen demanders, so be sure to feed regularly. Do not pick off flower buds, it just forces the tree to re-bloom. Better to let the fruit set, then pull most off until your trees start establishing themselves well. If you provide enough fertilizer and water, you should see nice growth this year, and allow fruit set next year.

Please post some pictures. How much do you water? How much fertilizer did you apply, and specifically where & how did you apply it? Do you have a berm surrounding the base and if so, how tall / wide?
