Is This A Sour Orange Root Stock?

I discovered this plant hidden amongst some overgrown hedges and weeds, was about to cut it down when I noticed an orange fruit hanging on a branch. It had been ignored for who knows how many years, unwatered, unfertilized, untrimmed. Needless to say the fruit was extremely unpalatable, but definitely citrus. There are 5 nearly vertical main branches taking off just above the ground, forming an empty center:

I did some searching of images on the Internet, and my conclusion is that this is a root stock that took over when the graft died. I'm hoping I'm wrong about being rootstock, or that I can do something with this like regrafting on some of the main branches, or should I just cut it down?

Here is a link that might be useful: {{gwi:583217}}
