check the twig and see if a worm had eaten out the center. I see that a lot and not only om peach trees.

I did notice the the branch tips did have holes in the when I broke the dead tips off. I also read an article that said it could be the tree taking on to much water for the semi dwarf size. I dunno

Well bad news. I looked closer and there is definitely holes. I broke the branch down far enough and found a little yellow worm. Now what?

Probably Lesser peach tree borer. Spray the limbs with an insecticide and visit this page bellow and click on any image to enlarge. The enlarge pic can be clicked on to open an article on the subject. You will also have peach tree borer. This is an insect that girdles the tree at ground level. You need to treat for both, They attack all stone fruit trees.
