Hi all:

The tops of some of the leafs are covered with a shinny sticky substance and I found some creatures on the bottom of the leaves.

The photos are attached.

Can anyone I.D. and offer suggestions?

Thanx Mike

Looks like "scale" insect.. im not sure how to treat but if you do a search around here for it, you will find your answers.

Scrape and crush with your fingers and finger nails. You'll be surprised at how fast a 1000+ leaves can be treated this way. Any tree under 7 feet tall by 7 feet diameter I do by this method. Now If I have 10 trees this size I get reinforcements.
