I have one kumquat that does not have limbs all the way down.You can see the tree right behind the one in the picture it has limbs all the way down.That is what I would like on this one.Every year in the spring new sprouts come out the problem is they have thorns.This new sprout is abought 4 to 6 inches above graft but still has thorns my trees have no thorns.Is it possible to grow new sprouts without thorns if not will the sprouts with thorns hurt my tree.You can tell with this post I don't know A lot about trees all help will be appreciated thanks.
