Meyer lemon tree grows dying buds?

I recently purchased an improved Meyer lemon tree. Overall it looks good and healthy however every day there are little lemons that have turned a dark yellow along with the stems they grow on. They end up falling off after a few days.

The tree is still in the 15 gallon growers black plastic container and is deeply watered once every 5 days. It has a large amount of flowers and some decent sized fruit growing so I'm not sure what is happening?

Happens alot to my lime. It takes too much energy developing fruit so it aborts undeveloped fruits until there is a balance.
