Dwarf Eureka in 5-1-1 -- how much water?

Just planted a 2 ft dwarf Eureka in basic 5-1-1. Container is 15-20 gal. It gets morning sun and afternoon shade.

A few questions:

- Seeing I live in dry hot Vegas, how often do you think I'll be watering this summer? I planted yesterday, gave it a good soaking, and now the day after, it's almost 90 degrees today and the bark mix is still soaking wet. I'm thinking a couple of times a week, but I'm just not sure.

Any other desert dwellers who can share their experiences?

- I also gave it a few spoonfuls of Dynamite CRF yesterday at planting. I also plan to include a weak Foliage Pro amount with each watering. Will this be enough nitrogen?

In that volume, you shouldn't have to water too often - I'd guess 2 - 3 times a week at the worst of it. But keep track so we can learn about your climate and how fast it really dries out this mix.

Keep the plant in the shade for a week or so to ease the transition. In a week, start fertilizing with 1/2 strength Foliage Pro, and then work on up from there.
