sounds like your tree has settled in pretty nicely. i would leave it alone till next spring. when you bought it, it was already stressed, by pruning so soon, you will only stress it out again.

only thing i would suggest for extra growth would be to pick off any fruits that set, and to fertilize.

Thanks for your answer. I'm so happy to see that the tree has taken hold and is doing all right.

I'll pick off any limes that try to set. I fertilized it with Miracid this afternoon. It's in a pot because I'll need to move it to the carport if it's going to freeze. We don't get many freezes, but they do happen on and off over the winters. The tree came with nursery timed release fertilizer in the pot and I did use the soil in the pot mixed with the potting soil in the pot, but haven't put any other fertilizer in the pot until today.

I used 1Tablespoon/Gallon like the label said to use for watering cans, but am concerned that is too strong.

I posted about that in another thread because I used the Miracid on all four of my little citrus trees. I'm new to citrus growing. I didn't put any of the solution on the foliage and didn't put a whole gallon in any of the pots.

I'll ask my pruning question next season and see what is said then.
