??? Best rootstock for citrus too far north

From my research I have found that citrus up north is best on poncirus trifoliata. My question pertains to citrus so far north that it has to be brought in, is it better off with any of the many other root-stocks. I would think that a rootstock that can handle wetter soil for longer would be a real benefit to get though winter months while having water holding capacity to last in very hot summers. Perhaps a root stock that works well when the soil temperature is nearing bellow 50 f would be a real asset. Those trees that ripen in very late fall to winter may need to keep the tree active till then.

Does any one have a detailed chart on the strength and weakness of different root stocks. Perhaps we should head the teachings of a world Renowned philosopher and planetary ace Curmudgeon who once said "hold your thumb out at arms length and turn 360 degrees, and if you don't see it any where it probably does not grow there.
