I purchased a Kumquat tree from Home Depot and planted it using an organic Citrus & Avocado fertilizer (Espoma Citrus-Tone) and partially amended with organic soil. It started producing lots of fruit but some of them had split skins and most are growing green and white striped... Also, the leaves have a solid white edge on them. The tree seems healthy. Is this a nutrition deficiency? Or is it a different type of kumquat tree? There is also a full size fruit that's been on the tree since I bought it (Feb 4th) that hasn't ripened. It's just green and white-ish striped.
