You can do the same thing in MS Paint, which most everyone should have on the computer (if they have a pc versus a Mac). Open the photo in Paint. Rotate clockwise, then rotate counter clockwise. Be sure the photo is in the right orientation. Click Save to re-write over the original file.

This sideways or upside down orientation happens to iPhone users, when they are taking photos holding the phone in the "portrait" orientation (straight up and down). If your photos are upside down, you've taken the photo in "landscape" orientation (phone held sideways) with the buttons facing downward. You can fix your orientation to always be correct if you take photos with your iPhone holding it in landscape orientation (sideways), with the buttons facing up. IPhone's photos system "remembers" its orientation when the photo is taken, based on how you've got your phone positioned, hence sideways or upside down photos.

I don't find looking at the sideways photos much of a problem because when you click on a sideways photo in a thread, it almost always opens in a new tab and is right side up.

I'm very familiar with question burn out, I work at a nursery, and if I had a nickle for every plant question that has in it somewhere, "...it's about so big and has pink flowers and those kinda green leaves...do you know what that plant is?"
"facepalm" lol.

Heheh...yeah, I don't so much mind the recurrent questions, they're a given. It's the disoriented and blurry images that turn me off. One of those, Help Me to Help You situations :-)

I have a Samsung Note 4. Everything looks sideways to me, but others tell me they my photos don't look sideways to them. I've tried so many things to make them appear correctly on my screen, but I haven't found a fix yet. I will try these suggestions. In the past, when I get the photos oriented correctly on my screen, then everyone else sees them sideways. Anyone else have this problem and a fix? The hardest part is I do not know what others see unless I ask. I have spent hours trying to fix it.
