Anyone else have any problems with CLM in Tucson? I always thought it was too hot for them here. But the most recent flush on my lemon shows a light infestation.
i guess it is my kind of luck. just went out to check my little trees and found those CLM on ( or i should say in) every new leaf the meyer lemon has. i squished every little worm out that i could see. yes i read only cosmetic but i think my meyer might not be the strongest because of transport and potting shock. are the eggs visible with naked eye? anything else i could do?
Well, at this point, probably not. You have a couple of options with CLM. Spray with Spinosad and Volck oil every 3 weeks in the evening (just be sure daytime temps are below 85 degrees), or, use Bayer Advanced Vegetable & Fruit Insect Control as a systemic treatment once, about 2 weeks before CLM appears. And yes, this is a pest specific to citrus.
