Jon stunning tree . I am wondering the same thing. The fruit on my tree started developing last fall . I don't think mine will taste great I think they need alot of heat to sweeten them up , not sure . I just want to make one big jug of orange juice.

Hi. How many years did it take for your tree to grow fruit?.

It depends on how you're going to use them, or how many you can use at once. They seem to last longer on the tree than the counter. If I'm juicing or giving away, I'll harvest a few dozen. I think fresh is better, why store them off the tree?

When my mom visits she likes fruit with her breakfast so I plan to give her one at a time as an eating orange when she's here. The last time she visited she finished off the last of the rio reds so the valencies are the only mature sweet citrus i have.

This tree produced for the first time last year so i guess it took 2 to 3 years to start producing. I have another one of these i purchased at the same time from the same grower which i planted in a large redwood box. That tree looks healthy but it isn't as big and has not produced any fruit so far. But it is flowering so i am hopeful.
