I bought a meyer lemon tree about 6 months ago and have had it in a 5 gallon pot. It was doing great, It has about 10 lemons growing on it, 5 of them about the size of ping pong balls. BUT, the guy that was working in our yard cleaning up stuff, took it upon himself to take my tree out of the pot and plant it in the ground! As soon as my mom saw that he had done this she immediately told him to put it back in the pot. Because I wasn't there and didn't find out about any of this until it was too late, I have no idea how he handled the tree while he was replanting it and I also have no idea what kind of soil he used. Whats going to happen to my tree? Are there steps I can take to reduce stress now that the damage has been done? Should I repot it again using the correct soil? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
