Wound in the bark

I bought this healthy citrus limon tree two months ago. It's been outside for the last month, we've had some rainy weather past few weeks (maybe two) and yesterday I noticed that it has this dry wound near the soil line :(. There's no sap coming out of it, and it was also treated preventively against phytophtora by watering it with fosetyl-al solution about a month ago.

What is it? And how do I treat it? Because I wouldn't want to lose this tree.

I bought a cherry tree that had wounds hidden below the soil line that went 2/3 around the base of the root stock. I made sure that the wound is always exposed to air and kept dry as possible. The wound is closing nicely but will take time as cherry trees do not close wound very well. I suspect that keeping your tree's wound above the soil line will allow the tree to take care of itself before rot sets in.

I just wanted to add. Watch wounds never heal. just relax and it should do OK
