I'm not sure but one tip others here will tell you; Get rid of the steak. It won't help anything and will strangle the life out of your tree!

My blood orange is only flowering at the bottom but appears healthy. It is getting the same care as my other trees that have fruit all over. I am not an expert but I think your tree is okay. :-)

Hey Serge94501, I bought a 3 year old yuzu from Four winds this year, but haven't gotten any flowers or fruit. How old is your's?

Hi Soulfire - I got it last August, and it was the somewhat bigger size (15 gal?) so it might have a year or two more on it that if I were to have purchased the 5 gal size. I put in 10 citrus all at the same time and this Yuzu seems to be the happiest.

Feel free to move it out a foot or two, on the side opposite the way the tree wants to lean, and then loosely tie it to keep it from falling over (while also allowing wind-movement, et cetera).

I don't have personal experience with this tree, but I'll speculate. It could be that the mature section of the tree sets fruit better. It could be that the pollen stayed viable longer in the shaded area (as opposed to drying out up higher).
