Broke my Meyer lemon

I got greedy.

After the heat finally broke last fall, my poor confused Meyer lemon bloomed in late September, and a few fruits set. The tree is in its second year in a container, and I think it was a 1 year old tree when I bought it. I got excited by the idea of lemons when we had such a mild winter and a handful of the fruits survived, so I didn't prune the fruit despite the age of the tree.

Things were going fine until this most recent bout of very windy, hot weather, when the top ~1/3 of the tree snapped right off under the weight of a few nearly-mature lemons. Sigh. The rest of the tree doesn't seem to be in shock or anything - at least, it looks healthy enough.

What will this do to the tree? Will it survive? Will it produce less fruit, now that it's essentially been topped? Should I just give up on it and buy a new one in the fall? I intend to keep it in a container full-time, so if it will simply be a smaller tree, that's actually a bonus.
