Look to their Heavyweight line of mixes, the Nursery Mix in particular. If Fafard products aren't available, a good "Orchid Mix" with a slow-release fertilizer and extra Perlite added will make a decent substitute.

Oops, sorry, Farfard! Josh, I spell that name wrong every time, thanks for jumping in and correcting my poor spelling! I can't get Farfard here where I live, so what Josh has recommended is almost what I use - I use 2 parts Miracle Gro Potting Mix, 1 part Perlite and 1 part Orchid Mix. For me here in dry S. California, I need a little water retention, so I add more fines in my mix. (We get zero rain during the summer.) This works very well for me. I have also used EB Stone's Cactus Mix which is pretty porous. Both work well for me in my dry climate.

Most citrus soil is not okay - because it is still mostly peat-moss with some token Perlite thrown in.

What are folks making with calamondin fruit? The refrigerator pies I made with the whole fruit pure' were good but jelly was just a little too strong to enjoy. It seems like I mixed the calamondin with kumquat pure' for some of the pies. I eat a few fruit raw right off my tree but more to get a huge dose of vitimins than because I really like them. I'm also a little worried the acidity will eventually erode the enamal off my teeth!
